Polyflor celebrated as top Green Manufacturer at Made in the North West Awards
Vinyl flooring manufacturer Polyflor was recognised for its green credentials when it received the prize for Green/ Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year at Insider’s Made in the North West awards recently.

Embrace the process: Intrigued by a simple study of hand drawn lines - their widths, irregularities and imperfections, along with various techniques that capture an intimate glimpse of the artist’s personality, we granted ourselves permission to return to the sketch. Putting computers and devices aside, we re-engage our instincts, which shaped the design industry before technology. Interacting with paper, experimenting with line weight, abstract/analogue proportion and tactile movement enable us to preserve process and honour the inconsistency of the human hand. Design is imperfect.
TYPE C WATERPROOFING – A NEW ON LINE RESOURCE
Triton’s new ‘Type C’ waterproofing website has been designed as a resource for specifiers of structural waterproofing systems. Triton supplies a complete range of systems for structural waterproofing but this new site focuses on the company’s BBA approved Platon cavity drained membrane systems – defined as ‘Type C waterproofing’ in BS 8102 2009.

HI-MACS® on hand to facilitate the amazing refurbishing of the Town Hall of Almere, in The Netherlands
Fokkema & Partners Architects completely overhauled the internal spaces of the Town Hall of Almere, in the Netherlands, and to do so chose HI-MACS® natural acrylic stone. “To emphasize the building’s original characteristics, and at the same time create an interior with unique and personal touches” were the architects’ brief in order to refurbish the public services area of the Town Hall.
