The Aman Spa at Amangiri

An Adrian Zecha inspired design in collaboration with architects Rick Joy, Marwan Al-Sayed and Wendell Burnett, the Amangiri hotel is most likened to an ancient settlement. The design’s aim was to celebrate the magic and mystery of southern Utah and the natural environment – whilst the region’s ancient Navajo heritage firmly stays in mind. Created for guests to truly appreciate the beauty of the surrounding mesas, Amangiri works alongside its environment and the way the light plays on the rock formations throughout the day.
Much like the rest of the resort, the Aman Spa mirrors the timeless nature of the surrounding rock. The architecture is bold; the five pavilions sit like abstract, tumbled rocks and juxtapose the landscape. In keeping with the Navajo heritage, the treatments reflect the healing traditions of this ancient culture and include massages, scrubs and flotation therapy. A stone-lined step pool with desert views makes for the perfect spot to invoke intimate reflection, and guests are sure to find it both inside and out.
