Top 10 Best Designed Spas in the World
Galgorm Resort & Spa

Ballymena, Northern Ireland
After a £10 million investment and expansion in 2015, Galgorm Resort & Spa now boasts a Thermal Village – the first of its kind in Ireland. Designed by Douglas Wallace Consultants, a contemporary Irish architecture firm, the spa village offers a unique experience with both internal and external spa elements. Thermal Village was inspired by the natural woodland that surrounds Galgorm, with Douglas Wallace using a palette of colours influenced by the environment.

With an overwhelming choice of heated and cool spa experiences, the Thermal Village has something to meet all needs. Dark woods and exposed brick work make up much of the exterior, whilst inside there are comfortable hanging pod chairs and plenty of light in all rooms. The Village has a rustic feel and offer traditional elements including saunas, steam rooms and a relaxation pool for wellness and relaxation. For a more adventurous experience, there is also a plunge pool, log fire heated Dutch Tubs and Thermal Village’s very own “Snow Cabin” – a year-round winter landscape of powder snow and ice crystals. At a frosty -10°C the cabin is sure to reinvigorate the senses.
