Press connection technology is fast becoming the installation method of choice for fitting pipework efficiently and safely on projects large and small. Simple to use and offering a much safer alternative to conventional pipework connection methods, Geberit Mapress press fittings are available in a range of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel and copper, making it suitable for use on systems including heating, cooling, gas and potable water. No downtime: Pipework can be installed while the system is still wet and no cooling times are required, significantly reducing downtime.
Minimal mess: Creating a neat, clean finish, press fitting reduces the risk of damage to existing fixtures and fittings, making it ideal for installing pipework in tight spaces. There is also far less mess involved; as it requires no cutting of compounds, press fitting eradicates swarf or filings usually caused by joint-making. Hardly any flushing is required as a consequence of the clean installation process.
Versatile: Pressed pipe comes in a range of materials, making it a versatile choice for a wide variety of applications from transporting hot and cold water, to delivering gas, plus work with biomass and solar thermal.Large diameters are available in all materials. Geberit Mapress is colour coded, with coloured caps to protect fittings from dust and dirt.
Safety first: Geberit Mapress fittings are designed so that any connections not pressed during installation can be visibly detected during testing. The pressing indicator consists of a thin plastic foil encasing the pressing shoulder, which gives a visible indication of a pressed joint when the foil is removed during the pressing operation. Clearly marked with the fitting's size, each indicator is colour coded according to material to further aid installation, with blue representing stainless steel, red for carbon steel, white for copper and black for CuNiFe.
