UK-based design consultancy Young & Battaglia has designed the King Edison pendant lamp for British wallpaper, lighting, furniture and accessories store Mineheart.

Named after Thomas Edison, the inventor of the lightbulb, the King Edison pendant lamp features a tiny brass chandelier inside a hand-blown glass shade that is shaped like a light bulb with an open bottom. The chandelier has minute candles, which are set on two tiers, each providing a small glow. Designed with chrome fittings, the lamp hangs from the ceiling on a two-metre-long braided silken cable.

Offering sophistication as well as beauty in the most innovative way, the King Edison pendant lamp combines the pure simplicity of an Edison light bulb with the romance and glamour of a Kings chandelier lamp.

It measures 15 cm in diameter and is 21 cm tall. It can be used individually or in clusters for maximum effect.
