YO! Home living space to debut at 100% Design
YO! Home, an intuitive living space designed and developed by Simon Woodroffe, is set to debut at 100% Design on 19 September 2012 in London.
Simon Woodroffe who also designed and launched YO!Sushi and YOTEL concepts earlier says, “The city centre home has not been re-invented since city centres first appeared. Eleven moving parts drawing on the mechanics of stage scenery allow the transformation of an 80 square metre space, the size of a one bedroom apartment, into eleven different rooms - what a much bigger apartment might have.”
Drawing on his previous career as a rock show stage designer, Woodroffe has designed YO! Home in a manner that it will fit in a 9 metre by 9 metre exhibition stand at the pull of a wall, the opening of a floor or the press of a button. It will feature a master bedroom suite; a second bedroom; a sunken sitting room; a cinema; a dining room; an office; a full size kitchen; a breakfast room; a bathroom/spa; a party room; and additional hidden storage.
YO! Home will act as a precursor to the launch of new build apartment blocks and office block conversions in cities around the world.
100% Design is the UK’s most visited contemporary design event and is in its 18th year. It will this year introduce 100% Future Living as the theme connecting each of the four show sections. The event is being held from September 19-22 at Earls Court in London.
