Yaroslav Galant creates embroidered furniture line
Ukrainian designer Yaroslav Galant has come up with the Embroidered Furniture collection.
The furniture line includes a host of items such as poufs, a couch, different coffee-tables, a round dinner table, a bed, night-tables, a folding-screen, a wardrobe, and a hanger. The range also comprises a chandelier and a bracket, TV-stand or equipment, two types of wall panels, a bath, a wash-basin, four mirrors, and benches.
The collection integrates cultural heritage with contemporary fabricating technology. The furniture pieces of the range are adorned with Ukrainian pattern embroidery. The furniture makes use of DuPont Corian and features small holes on the surfaces of the hi-tech material woven with colourful threads.
The collection has been showcased at Milan Design Week 2012 held in Italy.
