Yachting Developments completes 30.48m (Q5) Quintessential superyacht


Auckland boatyard Yachting Developments has completed construction and sea trial of a 38.48m superyacht named (Q5) Quintessential.


The naval architecture and exterior styling for the boat has been provided by Warwick Yacht Design, while Redman Whiteley has undertaken interior designing work on the superyacht. The company tied up with Superyacht Interiors New Zealand (SINZ) for developing the interiors of the boat.

The interiors has been done up in teak. The exterior of the boat is marked by spacious outdoor entertainment/bar area. The boat has five cabins, consisting of an owner’s cabin located on the main deck. The owner's suite has a direct access to the foredeck as well as spa pool area. Two other cabins are located on the lower deck. The fifth cabin also has a children’s den, which comprises of two storable berths.

The vessel is powered by twin 455hp engines driving through two Hundested variable pitch feathering propellers. The Quintessential can attain a maximum speed of 14 knots.

The vessel features a carbon fibre mast that has been built by Southern Spars NZ; and sails, which had been custom built by Doyles NZ. The vessel is built to meet and exceed GL class survey requirements.
