Work to begin at Chapel Street mixed-use scheme
Construction work for the first major development plot at Chapel Street, part of the wider Salford Central scheme in the UK is set to begin soon.
The development, which is being delivered by English Cities Fund (ECf) – a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General Property and The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) – in conjunction with Salford City Council (SCC), marks the first phase of the multi-million pound regeneration project.
The first phase will create 14 new town houses, 83 apartments and new commercial premises, including a convenience store.
Upon completion, Salford Central will feature two inter-dependent, but distinct areas - Chapel Street and New Bailey. It will create 220,000 square metres of commercial space, 849 new homes and 390 hotel rooms.
