Wood Partners plans to build new residential community in Colorado
US-based construction major Wood Partners LLC has announced plans to build Alta Alameda Station, a new residential community, in Denver, Colorado, US.
Sprawling over more than five acres site at 275 Cherokee St., within the Baker district west of S. Broadway in Denver, the Alta Alameda Station scheme will be developed on the site of former Denver Studio Complex.
The project encompasses construction of three, four-storey tall buildings, which will provide 338 energy efficient, transit oriented residential units. The units will be a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom homes. Each home will have an individual patio or deck. Inside, homes will have vinyl plank flooring in entryways, kitchens and bathrooms.
Kitchens will have granite kitchen countertops, hardwood kitchen and vanity cabinets and stainless steel appliances. The en-suite bathroom of the master bedroom will feature an oval soaking tubs. Each residential unit will also have walk-in closets, full-size washers and dryers, iPod docking stations and high-speed internet and networking wiring.
The residents will benefit from a plethora of amenities, which includes a fitness center; yoga and spin areas and stretching area with flat panel TV displays; serenity/meditation room; secured parking and storage areas; business/office center with wireless Internet; landscaped courtyard; water features; grilling area with flat panel TV displays; rooftop terrace with indoor/outdoor lounge; a resort-style pool area; dog wash; dog park and bicycle workshop.
Among the other benefits, residents will also benefit from the Alameda Light Rail station, which is located just across the street from the project site. Construction is being targeted for LEED certification and will therefore incorporate several green practices. Construction on the scheme will begin in May 2012 and is likely to wrap up in early 2014.
