Willmott Dixon to develop phase two of Birmingham City University’s new campus

Willmott Dixon has secured a £46 million ($69.88 million) contract to develop the phase two of the Birmingham City University’s new campus, which is part of the University’s £180 million ($273.47 million) investment in its estate.

To be located at Eastside, adjacent to Millennium Point in the heart of Birmingham, the phase two development of the university’s new campus will feature a student support hub as well as a new library.

Providing modern learning facilities to the students, the project also includes the construction of teaching and IT space along with other student-facing support faculties.

The construction work on the project is scheduled to start in June 2013.

Willmott Dixon also constructed phase one of the University’s masterplan, which features an integrated creative and media hub supported with advanced technology.
