Walter Knoll launches Bao armchair
German firm Walter Knoll has launched the new Bao armchair.
The chair has been designed by EOOS. It sports a sumptuous, round and curvy style which replicates the look of a leather ball. Sweeping and elegant flowing lines characterise the piece. The back portion of the furniture incorporates a sculptural design which is slightly convex. The rear is formed of a patchwork created by three strips of leather.
The seat of the Bao armchair is upholstered in fabric. Both the entirely different elements used for the seat and rear are distinctly defined, thereby amplifying the aesthetics of the item. The chair swivels on a heavy metal plate which has been designed to remain invisible.
