Walt Whitman Shops embarks on major upgrades
Walt Whitman Shops in New York, US has started work on an extensive refurbishment project.
The project will raise the square footage along the front of the facility while offering a facelift to its entrance fronting Route 110. Work will involve addition of eleven new stores to the property which will cover a total area of 72,000 square feet. It includes 42,000 square feet of additional area in the ground floor, and 30,000 square feet of space in the second floor.
The interior of the facility will be equipped with accent lighting, luxurious soft seating areas, a new Centre Court, new skylights, and a new colour scheme through the paint and flooring following the makeover. The customer restrooms will receive an overhaul too. The project will also include incorporation of new landscaping, and 150 new parking areas.
The project is due for completion by 2013 end.
