Wakefield College city centre campus topped out
Wakefield College’s multi-million pound city centre campus in the UK has been topped out.
The project is being led by experts from GB Building Solutions. The first phase will redevelop the current B block to create a pedestrianised walk-through. The walk-through will serve as a liaison between Newstead Road and Bond Street. The new block will sport a new library, teaching accommodation, as well as upgraded social facilities.
The new development will comprise parking lot designed for disabled person, a safe drop-off point, and cafe terrace. Among its other features include seating areas, cycle stands, and landscaping comprising trees and planted areas.
The new build is due to be open for students by September 2012.
