Vivo development in London incorporates Tarkett flooring
The Vivo development in East London has employed the wooden flooring from British flooring specialists Tarkett.
Tarkett has been chosen to supply wooden flooring for the 462-home development. It will supply 16,000 square metre of its 22mm, 3-strip Professional Oak Nature and 13mm Rumba Oak nature engineered wood ranges which would be used throughout the new build apartments.
The flooring being laid in the development will have a unique Protecto Lacquer. The glossy lacquer is applied to the wood in six layers, making it extra hardwearing, without losing the real-wood-under-foot feel.
According to Darren Crabb, project manager from Wates Living Space, Tarkett flooring was chosen for its good looks and hard wearing characteristics, which lends it a long life expectancy.
The Vivo development is being built in the heart of London’s East End, half way between Shoreditch and Canary Wharf and close to Stepney Green tube station. Vivo is a partnership between First Base and East Thames with Wates Living Space as the main contractor.
