Vitra launches Suita sofa by Antonio Citterio

Swiss firm Vitra has launched a new sofa named Suita.

The sofa, designed by Antonio Citterio, incorporates a contemporary, elegant, and lightweight style. The piece is characterised by use of geometric and clear straight lines, as well as soft curves. The sofa is modular and hence can be configured in many ways. It also forms part of a large range comprising different furniture items. The pieces can be mixed and matched to adorn various types of areas.

The furniture comes with soft or firm seat cushions. The soft version offers options of classic or pointed cushions. The firm model features classic cushions. Some pieces of the Suita collection are available with a component which lengthens the backrest.

The sofa also features shelves mounted on its back. The shelves serve multiple purposes such as a working desk, storage area, or decoration space. The platform of the sofa is a cross between a table and ottaman. It is tightly upholstered and can be customised in two sizes. The feet of the furniture sport a rounded form and are made in polished aluminium. The design of its feet bear an American mid-century inspiration.
