Virginia Hospital completes $10 million expansion scheme
Virginia Hospital Center has completed $10 million expansion of its Women & Infant Health Unit in Arlington, Virginia.
The expansion will accommodate the Obstetrics facilities offered to the Kaiser Permanente's members. The project has added eight new all-private patient rooms to the hospital's existing 42 Women & Infant Health patient rooms.
The other facilities added to the unit include four new Labor & Delivery Suites; four new all-private triage rooms and three state-of-the-art operating rooms for Cesarean deliveries.
The extension also accommodates 16 Level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which includes all-private suites; two Nurseries; as well as two new Nurses Stations.
Virginia Hospital, in addition to new construction, has also completely overhauled the entire Women & Infant Health Unit.
