Valle Naranjal community to complete construction soon
Work is nearing completion on the Valle Naranjal affordable rental community in Piru, California, US.
The community is located on a former farmworker labour campsite built in the 1950’s. The development will consist of 66 units targeted at low-income farmworkers. It will sport modern kitchens, a large community centre, several recreational play fields including a soccer field, a community garden, and tot lots.
The facility will incorporate a host of green features. It will be equipped with energy-saving appliances, and timers for light. It is expected to exceed standards of California’s energy usage regulation code known as Title 24 by over 10% by employing various energy-efficient measures. Use of eco-friendly building materials will add to the sustainability of the property.
