UW-Eau Claire breaks ground on new Education Building


University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UW-Eau Claire) in the US has broken ground on a new Education Building.


The project has been estimated to have a budget of $44.5 million. The Campus School of the University will be razed to create the new facility. The new building will cover an area of about 170,000 square feet. It will feature the University's College of Education and Human Sciences administrative units, classroom space, and the departments of education studies, English, foreign languages and special education.

The new facility will also provide select student support services, including Services for Students with Disabilities, the Student Success Centre which will offer writing, math and other academic support, as well as the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

The building is due for completion by 2013 end.
