The University of Virginia’s College at Wise (Uva-Wise) in Virginia, US has dedicated the $30 million David J. Prior Convocation Centre.

The arena covers an area of 78,000 square feet. It comprises an intercollegiate-sized basketball court, ample locker rooms, and official locker room. It also accommodates space to host several intramural games, volleyball or scholastic wrestling matches.

The entryway to the building has been built to serve a host of events. Among the various other features of the new property include offices, concession and ticketing stands, meeting space, as well as study area. The centre possesses a seat capacity of 3,000 for sporting events while being equipped with about 4,000 seats for concerts or convocation activities.

The project has been financed by the Virginia General Assembly.
