UNO to break ground on Maestri Field renovation in New Orleans
The University of New Orleans (UNO) will break ground for the renovations of Maestri Field baseball stadium at Privateer Park in New Orleans.
Renovations to the stadium include a new grandstand with chairback seating for nearly 800 and a new press box that will comprise an area for game-day operations, two radio booths and a private suite with bathroom and wet bar, as well as, an elevator to the press box.
The Privateers are expected to play approximately 30 games at Maestri Field during the 2014 season.
The Maestri Field baseball stadium was opened in 1979 and is a home field for the UNO Privateers team.
The stadium will break ground for the renovation on 10 May 2013.
