Turner Construction to develop Philip S. Miller Park in Colorado
North America-based Turner Construction Company has been selected by the town of Castle Rock to develop the 225-acre Philip S. Miller Park in Colorado, which is designed by landscape architecture firm BHA Design Inc.
The development including the pre-construction work will create new trails in the park. It will create an outdoor play area, traditional playgrounds, athletic fields, an amphitheatre, and water features, including other amenities.
In addition to that the 225-acre park will also include a 50,000 square feet Fieldhouse designed by Sink Combs Dethlefs. It will feature indoor synthetic turf fields, an indoor play adventure area, and swimming pools.
Created as a fundamentally different park, it will be a blend of indoor and outdoor recreation, which will provide opportunities for cultural arts and access to open space.
Construction is scheduled to commence in May 2013, and is expected to be completed by June 2014.
