Tom Faulkner to exhibit new furniture pieces at Decorex 2013

British furniture designer and manufacturer Tom Faulkner will launch two furniture pieces, the Vienna dining table and Puzzle coffee table, at Decorex 2013 on stand E20.

Inspired by the flowing organic forms of Art Nouveau, the new dining table has been named after the city of Vienna. Handmade in Tom Faulkner’s workshops, Vienna’s legs are water-cut from 25mm solid steel plate and then finished to order.

Featuring an unusual shaped top, somewhere between a rectangle and an oval, with gently rounded corners, Vienna dining table has been designed as a comfortable and sociable furniture piece. The top is made of solid walnut, with a durable wax-oil treatment, which highlights the grain. The legs are finished in a rich bronze which is typical of Art Nouveau metalwork.

Measuring 220 x 100cm, the Vienna dining table is available in a wide variety of different finishes while the tops are available to order. Vienna can also be customised to special commission. Its price starts from £6,000 ($9,370.80).

The Puzzle coffee table, paying homage to the Art Deco period, has been designed with elegant modern geometry. Handmade in Tom Faulkner’s Wiltshire workshops, the steelwork is custom-finished to order, with options including powder coated colours and special effect metallics.

Available in two sizes, the Puzzle Coffee table is priced from £1,999 ($2,993.32). Providing various options to individual choices, the table top is available in several types of glass and in natural marbles.
