Tipton Leisure Centre opens in Black Country
The new £9 million ($13.62 million) Tipton Leisure Centre has opened its doors to the customers in Black Country, UK.
The Tipton Leisure Centre has replaced the old swimming centre in Queens Road, which had structural problems for many years and has been built on derelict land on the Little Burton estate.
Forming part of a wider plan to improve local facilities, with new leisure centres being built in West Bromwich, Oldbury and Smethwick, the Tipton Swimming Centre features a 25-metre six-lane swimming pool as well as a 12.5 metre teaching pool, gym and fitness classes, and a dance studio.
Apart from that the Tipton Leisure Centre also offers provisions for the disabled people with hoists in the changing room and slopes by the pool for ease of access. There are also public and private showers.
