The 10 best tower blocks in Britain
Anniesland Court
Location: Glasgow
Architecture: J Holmes & Partners
Completed: 1968

This 24-storey tower block in Glasgow has been likened to London's tower, (which it predates), presumable because it has a separate column which contains the list shaft.
It is the tallest listed building in Scotland and a great example of tower block architecture I a city that embraced the tower block perhaps more than any other. The building is unusual in that its 24 storeys contain seven levels of homes: each level comprises 18 homes - 6 upstairs two-bedroom flats, 6 downstairs two-bedroom flats and 6 single one-room flats with level access off the main corridor.
