Suffolk wins contract for Boston Wharf Tower in Massachusetts
US-based Suffolk Construction has secured a construction management contract for Boston Wharf Tower, a residential project in Boston in the US state of Massachusetts.
Located at 319 A Street Rear within the Innovation District of Boston, the Boston Wharf Tower represents a $77 million scheme. The scheme has been designed by ADD Incorporated and construction will be undertaken by Gerding Edlen.
The project involves development of a 258,000 square feet space, spread over 20-levels of the tower. The project will offer 202 rental units and a four-level, above-grade parking garage that will offer space for 96 passenger vehicles.
The Boston Wharf tower’s design will offer maximum living space for the residents. The scheme will incorporate several sustainable practices which is likely to minimise energy usage. The tower will be built to achieve a minimum of LEED Silver certification. The related parties have broken ground on the scheme and are scheduled to complete it in January 2014.
