Starwood to debut Aloft brand in South Korea
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc has announced plans to open a new Aloft branded hotel, Aloft Suwon, in South Korea in late 2014.
The pipeline aloft hotel will be located in Yeongtong-dong in the historical Suwon. The new Aloft Suwon will offer access to UNESCO World Heritage site of Hwaseong Fortress, the Suwon business district, and local government offices.
The hotel forms part of a mixed-use tower that will consist of retail and residential spaces. Aloft Suwaon will occupy the entire space from the fourth floor to the eleventh floor of the tower. The 120-room hotel will offer 114 standard rooms and six suites, a 404 square meter of meeting and function space, two food and beverage facilities, including the signature lounge and bar, and an all-day dining restaurant. Aloft Suwon hotel also features a 275 square meter recreational facility with a well equipped gym, and an 854 square meter spa that provides signature rejuvenating treatments.
Aloft Suwon is scheduled to open in October 2014.
