St. John Properties' corporate headquarters in Baltimore bag LEED Gold


The corporate headquarters of St. John Properties Incorporation in Baltimore, Maryland, US has bagged LEED Gold from the US Green Building Council.


The class A office building spans 71,000 square feet covering two floors. It imbibes a host of eco-friendly elements such as high-performance HVAC unit. It has also been equipped with efficient windows, as well as a white thermoplastic polyolefin roofing system.

The building sports a green lavatory system whereas its landscaping has the capacity to withstand droughts. Use of low VOC paints, carpets and adhesives add to the building's sustainability. Installation of a pair of electric vehicle charging stations in its parking area boosts the green initiative. Among other sustainable features of the facility include incorporation of open space and wetland/forest preserves.
