South Lanarkshire's new secondary school plans receives approval


A green light has been given to the plans of a new £4 million ($6.26 million) purpose-built secondary school in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, UK.


The new facility will be developed by Kier Construction. It will offer education for a maximum of 60 students having social, emotional and behavioural needs from across South Lanarkshire. The school will feature a total of six general classrooms, along with bespoke spaces for science, home economics, hair and beauty, IT and technical craft education.

The property will also be equipped with CCTV cameras and will offer vehicle and pedestrian access at different points. Among its other features include a fitness suite, a floodlit 3G all-weather five-a-side pitch, a dining room, shower and changing facilities, as well as separate cottage provision on site.
