Simon Orrell Designs creates new sycamore chest
London-based firm Simon Orrell Designs has come up with a new sycamore chest.
The new chest is one of the elegantly-crafted bespoke items created by the design firm which specialises in parchment, cracked gesso and eggshell finishes, along with shagreen.
The new sycamore chest incorporates a sophisticated style. Its features a shagreen veneer composition comprising a finish in a pale blue tone. The result has been attained by hand-dying the chest in the Fulham workshop.
The look of the furniture piece is complemented by installation of contrasting bone stringing and handles. The chest measures 750mm in width, 650 mm in height, as well as 400 mm in depth. It is available at a price of £6,400 ($10,067) including VAT.
