Scotland sports complex incorporates doorsets from Leaderflush Shapland
The National Indoor Sports Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome development in Glasgow, Scotland have employed 478 internal doorsets from the British performance doorset manufacturer Leaderflush Shapland.
Covering 42,000 metres of space, the Commonwealth Arena will consist of an indoor arena and Scotland’s first Velodrome. Both venues will have a capacity to accommodate a total of 8,000 spectators.
Keeping in view the safety of the spectators during the games in 2014, sustainable durable doorset range from Leaderflush Shapland has been specified for the stadium. The Vulcan range from Leaderflush Shapland, which are fire resistant up to 120 minutes and achieve up to 46RwDB reduction in acoustic levels, have been used.
In order to prevent the spread of infection, the doors are coated with hygienilac, which is an anti-bacterial finish for infection control, killing most species of bacteria including C.diff, MRSA, Salmonella and E.Coli.
