Sault College breaks ground on new $13 million student facility in Canada

Sault College in Ontario, Canada has broken ground on a new Student Health and Wellness Centre, which will entail an investment of CAD13.2 million ($12.89 million).

The new development forms part of the phase II of campus redevelopment. The project involves construction of a new 40,000 square feet Student Health and Wellness Centre on the eastern part of the college.

The two-tier centre will include spaces for training and education purposes. The centre will also incorporate academic labs, fitness rooms, studio work-out rooms and a student centre offering meeting and study spaces.

The college aims at offering programs for alternative therapies, chronic disease management, human performance, gerontology and rehabilitation. Construction on the scheme will be undertaken by EllisDon and is scheduled for a wrap by mid-2013.
