Sail chair from Andreu World wins Red Dot award 2012
The Sail chair collection launched by Spanish firm Andreu World has received Red Dot product design prize of 2012.
The design of the chair has been conceived by Piergiorgio Cazzaniga. The name of the chair is derived from its design which makes them look as light as the sail on a boat. The piece is made of polypropylene and fiberglass.
The furniture comprises a slim and lightweight frame which facilitates stacking for up to ten chairs. It is also strong with its back rest shaped to conform to the human body to enhance comfort level of users. The chair offers options of multiple shades which include black, beige, cream, white, as well as red. It is also available in a leather version. The design of the chair makes it ideal to be used in a wide array of spaces.
