Roche Bobois launches Astrolab dining table
French furniture distributor Roche Bobois has launched a dining table named Astrolab.
The top of the table consists of a glass plate. The look of the piece is complemented by its legs which don a finish in polished aluminium. The furniture is equipped with exposed motorized cog mechanism. The mechanism allows two 40cm extensions of the table. This makes it suitable to serve various sizes of dinner gatherings.
The mechanism and gears fitted in the table are visible. This offers the piece a retro mechanical, minimalistic, and futuristic style. In addition, the table is battery operated and remote controlled. The design of the item makes it ideal for contemporary residential units. Astrolab also offers options of a coffee table model.
