Riverside Unified School District begins work on new athletic facility

Riverside Unified School District has broken ground on a new athletic facility at John W. North High School in Riverside, California.

Entailing an investment of $13.6 million, the new athletic facility at the John W. North High School will consist of a new athletic stadium, new swimming pool, artificial turf football field, and rubberised track. The facility will also have two new tennis courts.

The new athletic centre will also accommodate ticket booth and concession stand as well as restrooms and press box. Construction is expected to be completed by July 2013.

The new athletic centre project has been funded by means of Measure B, a facilities bond measure passed by voters in 2001, and redevelopment funds.
