Restaurant & Bar Design Awards will celebrate its fifth edition with a unique pop-up bar/restaurant concept to be revealed at the 2013 awards ceremony, held at London's Farmiloe Building on 24 June.

Four 'best' restaurant and bar winners from the previous four years of awards have been invited to create a different themed pop-up space with the fifth entry to be designed by the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards team itself. The teams can only use products found in four Restaurant & Bar Design Awards supplier 'boxes'.

The architects, designers and operators associated with the Box project include: Estudio Nomada & A Cantina (Box 1); designLSM & Galvin Restaurants (Box 2); B3 Designers & Guoman Hotels (Box 3); David Archer Architects & Busaba Eathai (Box 4); and Nicholas Alexander & Levy Restaurants (Box 5).

The Box project has firmly placed suppliers at the top as they get to choose which products should be used by designers. They will also get an opportunity of collaborating with the operators and designers throughout the creative process.

The product manufacturers associated with the project include: Kronospan, Lathams, Whistler Leather, Ecophon, Interface, LED Light Sheet, Artworks Solutions, Reeve Wood, Conran Contracts, Quartzforms, Mass Concrete, Solus Ceramics, Deltalight, GRP, Solomon&Wu, Armstrong, and Lasvit.

Project managers for all the projects will be Building Construction Solutions and the Lighting Designer, Firefly Lighting Design. The contractors will be Nicholas Alexander , Breezefree , Diespeker , French Group and Harcourt Design.
