Remedios Simón creates Spiro lamp for LZF
Spanish firm LZF Lamps has introduced a lamp named Spiro.
The design of the piece has been conceived by Remedios Simón. The luminaire is handcrafted and comes in a suspended version. It sports a circular shape and derives its name from the decorative spiral shapes fitted within its shell.
Spiro is formed of several delicate concentric wood modules which allows passage of light. It comes in various shades within each wooden module. The new way of shaping the polywood veneer offers the circular structures a host of configuration options. The look of the luminaire makes it ideal to be used in private spaces like residential units as well as in high-traffic public areas.
