Reinier de Jong Architecture & Design launches REK coffee table
Rotterdam-based design studio Reinier de Jong Architecture & Design has launched the REK coffee table.
The coffee table is extendable. It can be expanded by sliding the middle portion outwards in both sides. The spaces below the table top can serve as a storage area for various items. The furniture has been fitted with built-in stops which prevent the sliding segments from being pulled too far.
The top and two sides of the table don a white HPL finish. The look is complemented by the edges of the piece which offer options of various parquet wood finishes including oak, birch, and beech. The end grain side of the wood incorporates a beveled style to allow a grip. The collapsed version of the table measures 60cm by 80cm. REK possesses a maximum length of 170cm and width of 130cm.
