Regal Entertainment to open new multi-screen cinema in Virginia
Regal Entertainment Group has signed a lease with Rockville, Maryland-based Lerner Enterprises to open multi-screen cinema at Dulles Town Center in Dulles, Virginia, US.
The project will involve creation of a theatre complex spanning 45,000 square feet. The box office of the theatre will be placed inside the mall, on the upper level, adjacent to a new mall entrance.
With about 2,000 stadium seats, the cinema will comprise 10 screens with a giant screen presentation called the Regal Premium Experience. The Regal Premium Experience (RPX) involves showcasing movies with powerful, uncompressed surround sound and bright eye-popping images in 2D and RealD 3D.
The theatre will have elegant and luxurious seats with high-back headrests, a huge immersive screen illuminated by high-quality digital projectors and completed with advanced sound system.
The project is scheduled to break ground in 2012 end with opening slated for 2013.
