Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich Airport to expand Airport Conference Centre
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich Airport in Switzerland is set to undergo an expansion of its meeting and function facilities on the 8th floor of its Airport Conference Centre in September 2012.
The project will lead to creation of 58 meeting rooms, business lounges and two Business Services Desks encompassing three levels and spanning over 4000 square metres. There will also be creation of 54 new private and covered parking areas with direct access to the Conference Centre.
The convention floors will sport an elegant interior donning warm earth shades, interesting colour effects, and various materials like wood, tainted glass and copper panels. The look will be complemented by installation of furniture and lamps by designers including Jasper Morrison, Philippe Starck, Hannes Wettstein, Alfredo Häberli and Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. All the 58 meeting rooms will incorporate individual designs and will be designed to allow maximum natural light penetration.
The video-conferencing room will have a capacity to house up to six participants. There will be three guest offices comprising a fully equipped working and relaxation space, a pair of Executive Day Rooms with working area, couch bed and bathroom, and a large shower-room area. The expanded property will further consist of two fully equipped Business Services Desks with secretary and office services. In addition, there will be four Executive Lounges, out of which two will feature a balcony allowing views of Zurich Airport.
