Providence to build $22 million medical facility in Washington


Providence Medical Group and Providence Regional Medical Center plan to build a new $22 million multi-use ambulatory care medical building in Monroe, Washington.


The new 43,000 square feet medical facility will be nearly twice the size of the current Providence Medical Group Monroe clinic and will include an extended-hour urgent care centre, imaging services, a lab and a retail pharmacy. In addition, the medical building will include an advanced imaging center.

It is designed to provide an innovative, forward-thinking model of care delivery, with centralized check-in and self-rooming facilities. There will also be a conference room for group appointments and health education classes.

The facility that will house over 30 medical providers and will also feature a women’s center offering OB/GYN and midwifery office visits, a heart and a vascular center offering non-invasive diagnostic services and on-site appointments with cardiologists and a musculoskeletal centre offering appointments with orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, physical medicine physicians, and rehab specialists.

The new Providence Medical Building, Monroe is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2013 in the center of Monroe’s new retail centre on North Kelsey Street, adjacent to Lowes and Red Robin.

A Providence Health & Services unit, Providence Medical Group, is an integrated delivery system with nine primary care locations, four urgent care locations and 11 specialty services in Snohomish County with 120 physicians and mid-level providers.
