Pret A Diner opens London’s first pop-up members club

Pret A Diner has opened a new pop-up club called The Burlington Social Club at The Royal Academy of Arts in London.

The Burlington Social Club is London’s first pop-up members club and brings together some of the world’s most talented chefs and mixologists with conceptual neon artist Olivia Steele.

The pop-up club has been housed inside the Royal Academy of Arts in the 2,685 square feet Senate Rooms. These rooms have been transformed into a unique culinary and musical destination through a large scaffolding installation. The ceilings of the installation are 5.44m-high, and are moulded to lend an industrial feel. A kitchen is enclosed in the installation where guests can watch imaginative Michelin starred cuisine being cooked with drinks or champagne cocktails.

The restaurant space leads to an adjoining club lounge, which features various diverse elements such as a four-poster bed crafted from scaffolding poles and draped with vintage cloth, and mattress shielded with luxurious furs.

The Burlington Social Club was launched on 13 September and will remain open till 17 November 2012.

Pret A Diner devises unique dining experiences in niche venues around the world. They have already created pop-up restaurants in Berlin, Monaco and London’s 50 St James’s Street.
