Populous to design new training facility for QPR

West London soccer team Queens Park Rangers (QPR) have appointed international sports architectural firm Populous to design a bespoke, state-of-the-art training facility and community sports hub at the Warren Farm site in Ealing.

QPR aims to develop a training ground which will benefit not only the first team, but also the academy and the local community. The club currently trains at the Imperial Sports Ground in Harlington

Substantial work has already been undertaken with final touches being added to a comprehensive and detailed design process. The Warren farm site spans over 63-acres. A fully operational training facility is expected to be in place ahead of the 2014/15 season.

Populous also designed Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, the New York Yankees stadium and the Sydney Olympic Stadium in 2000.
