Pompei A.D. designs new concept store for Aldo in Hong Kong
Creative branding and design firm Pompei A.D. has completed designs for a new Aldo store to be opened in IFC Mall in Hong Kong.
The store is scheduled to be opened in late May 2012. The unique store is designed in a manner that complements the aesthetics of the surrounding setting while keeping the firm’s youthful and fun customer base intact. The design is based around two elements – a ribbon that unifies the store and an artwork that creates an ethereal environment.
The ribbon is a continuous mirror polished metal structure that winds through the store and unifies the display into one cohesive, visual element. The ‘Constellation’ art work created by Pompei A.D. removes the feeling that the space is defined by four walls, instead giving it an ethereal feel in which the brand’s experience is brought to life.
The IFC Mall is located in the International Finance Centre which is a new commercial development on Hong Kong Central District’s waterfront.
