Penn Cinema breaks ground on new theatre in Delaware
Penn Cinema has broken ground on a new IMAX and movie theater complex at Riverfront Wilmington in Delaware, US.
The new movie complex is being developed by Buccini/Pollin Group and will be located at 401 South Madison Street. The multiplex will consist of 14 movie theatres along side a full IMAX theater. The movie theatres will be complete with luxury leather, high-backed seats and will boast theatre style seating.
The complex is also poised to be the first theatre in the US to be equipped with advanced projection system, which will project 48-frames-per-second.
The new theatre is likely to entail a capital outflow of $20 million. Construction work on the movie complex is scheduled for completion by early November 2012.
