Olson Homes opens new residential community in California
US-based builder Olson Homes has debuted Gateway Walk, a new residential community, in Westchester, California.
Gateway Walk is located at 5780 W. 85th Place in Westchester. The project involves development of 14 detached single family homes, and will be spread over a maximum area of 1863 square feet. Inside, the two-storey homes will accommodate between three to four bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a side-by-side car garage for two cars.
The architectural style of the homes will be based on contemporary Spanish architecture. The homes will have elegant front entry door with satin nickel hardware. The kitchen and entry will have 12”x12” hand set ceramic tile. The homes will also have designer carpeting selections, two panel interior doors and designer lighting which will give a unique identity.
The bathrooms will feature cultured marble countertops with four-inch backsplash, white under mount dual sinks, full width mirrors and polished chrome faucet with lever handles. The company is offering contemporary white thermo foil cabinetry with concealed hinges for both kitchen and bedroom. The kitchen will also feature granite countertops and white double compartment sink with waste disposal.
The other prominent features of the homes consist of tankless water heaters, dual glazed vinyl windows with low e-glass, low VOC interior paint and carbon monoxide detector.
Construction of the homes will be done in strict compliance with the environmental criteria and is anticipated to surpass the requirements for LEED green living standards. The sustainable features of the development will consist of energy efficient amenities such as use of Energy Star appliances; water efficient and lead-free faucets; and built-in recycle bins, among many other features.
All the water fixtures in the bathrooms will be enabled with auto shut-off motion sensors, which will prevent water wastage. Additional water saving will be delivered by means of low-flow water fixtures in the toilets.
Construction of Gateway Walk is expected to be completed in 2012.
