Nir Meiri designes Marine lamp
The Marine lamp by the Tel Aviv-based designer Nir Meiri has been designed to provide a new, stylish as well as natural look to the surrounding.
The Marine lamp features a shade, which is made up of seaweed. The shade has been created by draping fresh seaweed over a structure of thin metal spokes attached to a metal base.
The final shape of each lampshade is formed as the seaweed dries and shrinks, before being set with a preservative.
Exhibiting a nature-inspired appearance, the contemporary Marine lamp can provide an altogether new look to the aesthetic of the surrounding.
