Nieves Contreras creates Toupie armchair for Beltá
Spanish firm Beltá has come up with the new Toupie armchair.
The design of the new chair has been conceived by Paris-based company Nieves Contreras. The furniture comprises a low as well as a wide pouffe. The look of the piece has been complemented with incorporation of a high backrest which is formed in metal.
The frame of the backrest can be clad in a wide array of fabrics depending on various seasons, ideally soft ones for the cooler months and flexible materials such as cane during the winter. In addition, the base of the chair has been designed to swivel. This enables it to attain different positions as per one's convenience.
