New supportive-housing development opens in Chicago
A new supportive-housing development, named as Myers Place, has opened in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, which is designed to provide an affordable and independent living to the residents.
Located in Mount Prospect, the $13.2 million mixed-use supportive housing development will provide affordable housing for people who are disabled, mentally ill or formerly homeless.
The Myers Place residential scheme features 21 one-bedroom and 18 studio furnished apartments, a state-funded supportive-services program for residents, and 3,560-square-foot commercial space. Apart from that the residential scheme also features a community room with kitchen, laundry facilities, and offices for case managers.
The project was developed by Chicago-based Daveri Development Group. It celebrated the grand opening ceremony on 3 June 2013.
