New residential scheme to come up in London
Plans have been submitted to the London Borough Of Tower Hamlets for a new residential scheme at Arrowhead Quay, south of Canary Wharf in London's Docklands, which is designed to provide an urban living standard to the residents.
Planned to be a mixed-use development, the new scheme will feature 792 spacious balconied apartments in two, 50- and 55-storied towers. The scheme will feature retail, leisure and café facilities at the ground and first floor and an art installation at the ground floor level.
Apart from that, it will also create a new landscaped public plaza, which forms an integral part of the development, in the western part of the site, opening up the site to South Dock, just to the north of the site.
Upon completion, the scheme will address the demand for new housing as well as provide socially inclusive public spaces.
A decision on the planning application is expected by the summer of 2013.
